Nitrogen and Oxygen generators extract available nitrogen/oxygen in ambient air from other gases by applying Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology.
The first step in the PSA process is compressed air passed through a combination filter and activated carbon tower to remove dust, oil, and water that enters it. The purified air is then directed into one of two adsorption vessels packed with a carbon molecular sieve (CMS). The CMS absorbed the remaining impurities, such as carbon dioxide and residual moisture, at the entrance to the adsorbent bed. The PSA process in an oxygen generator is similar to that in a nitrogen generator. A carbon molecular sieve (CMS) was replaced with a molecular sieve (MS).
